Both sides of the the Book call God Savior (Ps. 43:5; 2 Pet. 1:1). This means God can repair damaged people as well as can keep them from being damaged. Part of the way He does this is to show us how to live each day.
Like the comic depicts, His Word is not meant to hem us in, but to keep us safe. His commands are not meant to kill our joy, but to enhance it. He knows the consequences we’ll face, some harsher than others, if we go through those guardrails.
Hopefully you’ll be in and with the Word today to hear Jesus give you the guardrails you’ll need to enjoy the life He came to give you. Jesus knows all about you, inside and out, and still says, “I love you.” So let Him save you today, especially from yourself.
